How Do the Online Classes Work? How Do I Set Up My Computer, Talk, be Seen?
Once you register for a class, you will receive an email with instructions about how to log into your class portal. Any class you purchase will be there for you to access. If you plan to attend the live webinar, instructions for how to login will be there. If you plan to take the self-study version, the recordings or other assignments will be there. You can review the material as many times as you want.

​The live interactive webinars
 with set dates use zoom.  You will receive an invitation by email with a link to the class.  You can call in on the phone like a conference call, or you can speak through the microphone and speakers of your computer. We can hear one another. Your microphone can be unmuted so you can speak and muted so we don't hear disruptive background noise.  If you use a web cam we can see one another. ( If you don't have a camera no problem.)  There is a chat box for typing in questions and comments to the presenter and/or to the other participants.  You will see the PowerPoint presentation and whatever the presenter wants to show you as well as see the presenter.

If you feel any stress and worry about the prospect of joining an online live webinar for the first time, know that others who felt that way have been pleasantly surprised by how supportive and how simple it can be.  You can log in 30 minutes early to ease your mind about technology, but this platform is easy to use.

​The self-study courses vary from reading a book and posting  assignments on a forum to watching a pre-recorded class and turning in an assignment.  You can take the self-study class whenever you want and take as long as you want. Your classes remain in your portal for unlimited review.

Can I take the webinar live AND have access to watch the recording? Yes, when you take a webinar you can review the recordings.


What Exactly Will I be Getting When I Register for a Class?
If you register for a live interactive webinar with set dates you have access to direct conversation with the presenter and the other participants in your class. If you want to watch the recordings of the live class you have access to do so.

If you take a self-study class, you can take it at any time and at your own pace. You may watch it as many times as you like.  You have private access just for you. No one else can watch it  without their own access code. (Please keep yours confidential)


Where Do I Find a Promotion Code?
Promotions often come through email, so if you haven't already subscribed for our email updates and promotions, you can do sohere.


Do You Offer a Student Discount?
Yes.  There is a student discount code. Our policy is to offer a 50% discount to music therapy students. Documentation in the form of an email from your professor is required to receive the code.  Email deborah@thespiegelacademy.com. 


Can I Make Payments?
​Once you put your class(es) into the shopping cart you will be given the option to pay in full or make monthly payments. If you use paypal they offer a 6 month interest free payment option.
